Next major event for New Salem Cemetery Corporation: The 2022 annual meeting of the New Salem Cemetery Corporation will be Saturday, August 27, 2:00 pm at Cayce Baptist Church (4070 Cayce Road) in the community of Cayce, MS. If you are interested in this historic cemetery, please join us!
Our annual Fall Work Day at New Salem Cemetery will be this fall, probably in October. The date will be determined at 2022 annual meeting. At this Fall Work Day we will rake leaves, trim trees, clean and repair grave markers, and do whatever else needs to be done. So bring your tools (gloves, shovels, rakes, saws, trimmers, etc.), lunch, water/drinks, and lawn chairs. Come if you can!
New Salem Cemetery Corporation has established a fund-raising project called "Save the Stones." This special project has been established to facilitate the ongoing preservation and restoration of the headstones. You can specifically donate to “Save the Stones” to help continue the work to protect, preserve and restore the headstones of the New Salem Cemetery.
