Policy on Cleaning Tombstones - Adopted January 7, 2018:
The cemetery grounds, monuments, headstones and structures may not be cleaned, moved, restored or preserved but by the Board of Directors or people authorized or hired by the Board of Directors, and then only using approved materials. Unauthorized people include plot owners, relatives and friends, or associates. Materials banned include but are not limited to acids, bleach, hard bristles, wire brushes, household cleaners, power tools and pressure washers. Using these materials is damaging to the stones and will be considered desecration of a grave and prosecutable under Mississippi Code 97-17-39.
