Next major event for New Salem Cemetery Corporation: The 2022 annual meeting of the New Salem Cemetery Corporation will be Saturday, August 27, 2:00 pm at Cayce Baptist Church (4070 Cayce Road) in the community of Cayce, MS. If you are interested in this historic cemetery, please join us!
Our annual Fall Work Day at New Salem Cemetery will be this fall, probably in October. The date will be determined at 2022 annual meeting. At this Fall Work Day we will rake leaves, trim trees, clean and repair grave markers, and do whatever else needs to be done. So bring your tools (gloves, shovels, rakes, saws, trimmers, etc.), lunch, water/drinks, and lawn chairs. Come if you can!
- Note: If you are not able to attend these work days you can still help by giving a donation to the New Salem Cemetery Corporation.
- "Save The Stones Fund" has been established to raise independent cash earmarked for the preservation and repair of the tombstones. These donations will help buy chemicals, materials, supplies, tools, etc . Label your check: "Save The Stones Fund" .
Please remember that New Salem Cemetery is supported only by membership fees and donations.
